New David Grahame Out

David Grahame has a new untitled album out, and Bruce at Not Lame has the limited 75-copy run. Aside from the limited quantities, there's a catch: It's priced at $11.50 per track. And there are only two tracks.

Sounds enticing, right? Actually the two tracks are two long song medleys that total 55 minutes, so it is the length of a full album. Apparently, Grahame is taking a page out of Lannie Flowers' (and Paul Westerberg's) book. This kind of thing isn't my cup of tea as I'm an iPod guy, and I'm not into 20+ minute tracks (I'm a huge Westerberg fan for example, and I have his 44:00 mp3, but I've never listened to the whole thing through once). But if you're a Grahame fan with $23 to burn and a long attention span, act now while Bruce still has them in stock.

Grahame's music may be good but he is such a horrible person that I and many other people I know will avoid anything he releases like the plague.

Hey Dave- I have your new CD on right now- sounds great! Is there anyway you could post on your site the individual song names? I guess that you prefer not to, but I figure I would ask.

Over the last year I have purchased all your cd's - took me a long time to find you, but you are certainly one of the best power poppers around. Glad you are bacK.

Dear Mr. Grahame,
I am glad to hear that you are selling well. Your songs and voice are very wonderful. I love "power pop" and you are dead center in this genre. I do however, wonder why you choose to be so elusive. I guess someone who would name a best of comp "Supergenius" feels as though he can afford to be elusive and mysterious. You are very talented but you come across as someone who is not just confident but arrogant. I am happy that you feel as though you are successful, but sir, I can't just blindly purchase your music (at fairly high prices btw) and hope that you are the super genius you believe you are. Samples, photos, bio...who the heck are you? Congrats on your elusive success, but I won't buy until I know more and I would guess that you would sell far more units if you'd just come out from behind the curtain!!

You people and your lack of adventure.... Take a leap of faith if you have any. David is extremely talented and probably not all that much into the limelight although I should not make that judgement as we have not had the pleasure of meeting [success is measured differently by us all I'm sure] What I do know...DG is very much into making high quality music, and If you take a moment to think about it his prices are not that expensive. An artist that is putting out his own music.... What more do you need to know? Just because you don't know about some one's history or personal affairs should be the last reason to pass on outstanding music..... But it just leaves more for the rest of us!

I've known David for a long time and as a PERSON, he's probably one of the most true-blue, authentic, loyal, and hysterical guys on the planet... Not that he cares if anyone but his wife or kids might think so - which to me, is another charming feature of his.
